Hi Everyone
I've been having lot's of fun checking out all the designer projects for the UStamp with Dawn and Friends - Let's Score session.
I was asked to make three projects for this session and I can't wait to show them to you over the next few days.
But before I go to far let's check out one of them.
This is what I called Just My Type. I loved the new typewriter stamp set in the Occasions Mini 2012 from Stampin Up and I knew I wanted to try and recreate a typewriter post it note holder.
It looks so cute on a desk. Can you imagine making these for the kids at school and seeing all these little different color typewriters on their desks. So cute!

For my project I chose a very smelly Christmas. One of my favorite things about the holidays is the smell of hollyberry, bayberry, orange cranberry, spruce and cinnamon. I hang these from my rear view mirror in the car and around door knobs in the house.

Nugget Treats

I've seen this idea many time and just got around to making some. They truly are very quick and such a nice treat to give someone special I think.

The little nuggets are wrapped in Stampin' Up DSP and then embellished on the front for the Holiday season or any season or reason.

I've always loved the test tube treats that have been popular these last few years. This year I decided to put together some quick and simple Christmas themed test tube treats. For Christmas I included red hots. I thought these would go great with a fun Christmas mug and a bag of hot cocoa.
The most time spend on the project was just waiting for the package of test tubes to arrive. :-)

The cute little turkeys were cased from Kimberly Morris. Everyone loved these cute little guys. So easy to make too.

Hi Everyone
I was fortunate enough to be asked to create not one not two but three projects for the UStamp with Dawn and Friends - Knockout Punches sessions.
This is the first project that's been shared.
I called this project All Occasion Tags. I love tags and especially a hand made tag. I went a little crazy with all the tags but I loved the thought of adding the Silver glimmer paper to the tags to add a little punch.
I thought this would be great to give a friend and then she'd have some special tags to place all gifts through the year.

Christmas Tart

Hi Everyone
I've been working on some Christmas gifts for friends. Last year I scored some Yankee candle tarts on clearance so I stocked up.
I've just dropped three tarts in this 3"x3"x3" box and created some distressed tags to go with it and topped it off with Stampin' Ups stripped ribbon. I also created the paper in the bottom of the box by just cutting pattern paper at every 1/8" to 1/4". They were not very expensive to make and I think will make great gifts for those you want to give a little something to.

This card was fun to make. I stamped out some doily images in different colors and used a postage stamp punch. I think it turned out nice for a quick and simple card.

I always love when the Fall season rolls in. The trees are ablaze with colors and the chill in the air ushers in the holiday season.
It's been a while since I spent time over at PaperCraftPlanet.com and while I was there recently I noticed a cute pumpkin made out of a bunch of rosettes.
Here is my take on the rosette pumpkin. It was really fun to make. I think it will look really fun as part of my Thanksgiving decorations.

Cow Day Recap

I wanted to share some picture of a fair I participated in this past weekend. It's called Cow Days. Why Cow Days you might ask...well....they actually give away a Cow. If you are not from a small town that might sound odd. It was odd for me the first time but it's so much fun to attend and meet new people and catch up with old friends.
I had a great time but it was rainy and cold on Saturday so I did more shopping than selling.
It was still such a fun time.
Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some close up pictures of some of the goodies I created.

Hi Everyone
It's been just over a year that I've been married and I will say that our first year as flown by and been wonderful. However....my crafting life really took a nose dive. I'm truly appreciate everyone sticking around my poor neglected blog while I've been adjusting to married life.

So moving forward in year two of marriage one priority is to find my craft life balance.
So here we go!

These were quick and easily and I liked that it came with the envelopes for this size of a card.
When I got my Grab Bag I did a search to see what others were making with their supplies and this card is one that I cased.

I can't remember where I got the inspiration for this card. I do remember that I loved the simplicity of the color scheme and how the different stamps really added the delicate texture to the card.
I've used one of my most neglected stamp sets from Stampin' Up! Circle Circus. One I started using this set I fell in love like I did the first time I saw it in the catalog.
I've chosen some fun summer colors to show off this fun stamp.

I saw this card originally from Andrea Brewster and loved how she used...you guessed it.....Crumb Cake card stock. It took a bit to get the Fun Flower die I used for this card but I was so glad when it finally arrived.

I wanted to share a fun Flip Tag Book that I created for the UStamp with Dawn and Friends, Big Shot Brilliance 2011 session. This session is full of fun Big Shot projects. You can check out the Big Shot Brilliance 2011 session HERE.
I have a lot of proofs from my wedding and I was trying to think of some new fresh ways to use the photos.
I created this as a Flower Girl gift. It's got pictures of our flower girl along with pictures of that day. I've also included some text that had the wedding date, location and our names. On three other tags I've typed out a flower girl poem. I think she'll love it. My SIL loved it too which was wonderful.

It's been another unexpected whirlwind week for me. Lot's of trips to the hospital and a trip to New Hampshire.

This is a great stationary box that will hold cards and envelopes. I like that it turned out like a birdhouse.

For this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketches project I decided to take some liberty and use the sketch as an element to my project.
This is a clear stamp case that I purchased from Stampin' Up! and I've just added some DSP to the inside sleeve of the case.
Next I've added some ribbon around the outside with some Sticky Strip and added the embellishment. then of course covered the sweet notebook inside. So fun!

I've mentioned in the past that I'm a sucker for anything that can help keep me organized.
I've created this box set that I'm calling an Stamper's Toolbox for the February session of Craft Project Central. Now I've got a cute whirly thing on my desk that I purchased at my local craft store that hold the bulk of my must have items but I always have some tools that I am ALWAYS using. There are some things that I use for 99.9% of all my cards and projects. This Stamper's Toolbox is dedicated to those items. I've also created some journal cards because I often think of an idea or sketch and want to jot it down super quick. Or I might you use the journal card to create a shopping list.

I'm trying my hand at doing cards that have some white space or in this case craft space. Not sure how I'm liking it. When you are use to piling on the paper, ribbon and brads it's hard to strip it down.

A Ghirardelli Valentine

I cased this super fun idea from Kay. Check out her great tutorial. I know we've seen these boxes before but what I love and hadn't seen before with these boxes was a cute little handle like Kay had added to hers.
They are super fast to make and I just love them. When my neice saw them we had to stop and make some for her friends at school. I think she loved what I loved about this project - the handle.
I also like how the heart boarder punch turned out as the belly band. Just a sweet touch.

Hi Everyone
Today over at Tuesday Morning Sketches Mel's got a fun sketch.
I tried to go outside of my style to create this card today.
A little bit of this a little bit of that. It's more of an altered card approach.
I think I'm liking it.
I picked up some tissue tape from my LSS and I'm loving it. It adds just a bit of something. This tape way cream in color and I've used a chalk ink to subdued it and make it not quite so bright and crisp.

Sweet Valentine

Hi Everyone
The Valentines Day countdown as begun at my house. Last minute recipes are being identified.
I decided to create some super super fast candy bar covers for some of my friends from Church.
I thought is would be fun to hand out there after church as a little Valentine Wish.
This is made with the mini Hershey candy bars. For the tag I've used the stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Tags til Christmas. I then stamped out the Feb 14 stamp from the Filled with Love, Stampin' Up! stamp set.
I didn't take the time to color they stamp with a marker but rather I used an ink pad and then just used the small oval Stampin' Up! punch to stamp out the Feb 14 stamp and adhered it over the Christmas part.
So head on down to Walgreen's and gab your self some Hershey bars and cut some cardstock and you'll have a bunch of these gems made in no time.

A Valentine Conversation

HI Everyone
To me Valentine conversation hearts are like candy corn. The first couple are great and then you get sick of them. Then 30 minutes later you're grabbing another handful only to be sick again.
So goes the ritual of eating the conversation hearts.

I've seen this idea done with a candy bar. It's quite simple. I've just punch a whole in front and back of the sleeve. Then thread the ribbon through. By slipping the ribbon around the bottom of the box you are able to pull on the tab and pull the candy out. I love this idea. Makes a super cheap box of conversation hearts so much nicer.

I've had a lot of fun creating this card. It's Tuesday so that means I've got another great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

A Valentine Pocket full of Chocolate

These are great to make in an assembly line and can be knocked out super quick.

Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm

This weeks challenge at Farm Fresh Friday is to make your project POP.
I decided to do some paper piecing for my card today and to for a more monochromatic scheme again.
Let me tell you it's not easy not coloring in those TGF stamps! But I'm trying to practice different techniques in my card making.

This is a fun challenge to incorporate some type of metal into your project.
For my card today I've punched and embossed a circle to look like a golf club out of some
metal paper. This was really fun.

Valentines Day is for Suckers

Hi Everyone
There is no better time of year to say that! It's always a great and quick treat to grab a bag of lollipops and cover with some cardstock.

For these lollipops I've used stamps from The Stamps of Life, Hearts 2 Love stamp set. I find that the words are fantastic from this stamp line and stamp out beautifully with Versafine. Just love it.
I've also used a Stampin' Up! mini heart punch for the green heart. The ribbon of course inspired this project. I had a ton of this ribbon and through a pink and green Valentine would be fun.
The To and From stamps are also from The Stamps of Life and are part of the Minis4Circles stamp set.

Karber Monthly Challenge 5: Movies

Hi Everyone
Have you noticed that Alice in Wonderland is playing like crazy on the movie channels? Seems every time I get a chance to watch TV this movie is playing.
Oh what a wonderful world to escape to I think. I'd find it such fun to have some tea with the Mad Hatter.
My card of course is of Alice. I wanted to create a card that was fun and bright and with a more whimsical theme for a kid rather than an adult.

It was fun to put this card together.

Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm

Hi Everyone
This week at The Greeting Farm we have another super fun challenge for Farm Fresh Friday.
We've got a Color Challenge. The challenge this week is to create a project with the colors
Black, Turquoise and one color of your choice.
Today I've made a super fast little tote with Kraft as my additional color.
I've use the sentiment from the Because of You sentiment set along with Anya all dress up like the devil from the Naughty or Nice stamp set. I've made this for one of my friends that's always so adventurous and always getting herself in a pickle but a friend that I couldn't live without.

Craft Project Central Take 2

Hi Everyone
I wanted to share the project I've made for the January installment of Craft Project Central.
I was inspired by a mailbox I saw during Christmas that hangs off the back of a chair.
It was made to have Christmas cards dropped into the box. Well I knew this would make a great project for Valentines day. I've made this box with a slit in the top so the kids can drop Valentine cards in the top. It's also got a flap so that it can be opened without destroying the box. That way the kids can read all their Valentines.

A Valentine Kiss

Wow there are some great Valentine projects popping up everyday.
I'm so inspired this year. Last year I was in full wedding prep mode. How the year has flown by.
I've cased this idea from Brenda. Check out her great inspiration.
I thought this was such a great idea. Obviously it's a hand delivered card but what a great alternative to the standard Valentine cards that the kids give at school. I think I'm going to make these for my niece to take with her to school.
Brenda lays out on her blog how she went about punching the holes but basically you should adhere your white cardstock to your DSP and then punch out with a 1" circle. Then adhere to your card base and punch out that circle again. Makes it so much nicer on your hole punch.
This would also be a great Just Because card I think too. Just to tell someone you were thinking of them and to say I love you.
